Careers with Animals Day

FREE ENTRY!

After careful consideration, the decision has been made to postpone Careers With Animals Day at our Cambridgeshire centre on 28 March, and at our Leeds centre on 3rd October, as a precautionary measure due to Coronavirus. The College of Animal Welfare offers a range of information to those wanting to work with animals on our careers page at https://www.caw.ac.uk/careers/ We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Do you dream of working with animals? Unsure about what opportunities exist? Want to find out if it’s really for you and how you can get started?

If you have answered yes to any of the above questions, come along to one of our free Careers with Animals Days and get the answers to your questions! This is a fantastic opportunity to talk to professionals, gather career advice and plan your next move!

Whether you’re at school and looking at your options, employed in a different field and looking for a career change, unemployed and looking at how you can get back into work, or already working with animals and looking at different opportunities; this event will give you the chance to meet with relevant people and organisations within the animal care industry, gain advice, ask questions and receive guidance on training.

  1. Hi
My name is Jan I worked with animals for 20 odd years plus working with horses the major part of my career and alos small animals. From the 80’s to early 2002 full on. I have had a break doing other things I also ran my own pet sitting buisness 2007 to 2010. Then started a catering career!! to try that. Any way story short I have the over wellming feeling to come back and refresh my career with animals, apparently I have a gift and should not waste it. I would realy like to come and have a chat with someone.

    Regards

    Jan

  12. Ellie Rawlins

My name is Ellie, I am still at school and am due to finish June 2016.
I have always loved animals and have 3 of my own and to be able to work with them would be my dream job.
I have visited Wood green many of times and inquired about voluntary work, but unfortunately they couldn’t take me on due to my age and the health & safety rules.
I am looking forward to having a look around and finding out what my options are 🙂
    See you Saturday!
